Applying For Social Security Disability Benefits

Are you thinking of filing for Social Security Disability benefits? Perhaps you are worried that your claim will not be approved. Maybe others have told you that your claim will not be approved. Another lawyer may have told you that you won’t be approved. Maybe you are worried about how you will pay for attorney fees. Don’t listen to any of those people; call me now for a free case evaluation.

The way that I get paid is controlled by Federal regulations and must be approved by the Social Security Administration. Normally, it is Social Security that writes me the check out of your back benefits when we win the case and that usually works out to 25%, not to exceed $6000. I work on a contingency fee basis. You CAN get representation no matter how poor you are. There is no reason to fight the system alone. Everyone else has a lawyer protecting their interests, why shouldn’t you?

Are You Ready to File Your Claim?

Have you decided that it is time to file your claim? There are many different ways to start.

  1. If you want, you can contact Social Security first. You can make an appointment to go to a Field Office and fill out the application and all the forms.
  2. You can visit the Social Security Administration’s website and file a claim for Social Security Disability Insurance online. Supplemental Security Income ("SSI") applications are done in-person at your local Social Security Field Office.
  3. Call me or fill out the contact form on this page.
  4. If you go to Social Security’s website, it won’t take you long to figure out that the easiest way to get started is to contact me, so that I can help you every step of the way.

If you choose to go about it alone, which I rarely recommend, then you can do that as well. But the 50+ pages of forms that you will have to fill out can be confusing to many, and the end result is likely to lead to frustration and discouragement. In the alternative, you can contact me. The sooner I get involved in your claim, the better.
